About Us
| Bow House Farm got its name from the Ox-bow lake that once flowed through one of the fields. The Bishops Castle to Craven Arms railway used to run through the property until it was closed in 1936. Mr. and Mrs. Meddins purchased Bow House in 1963, originally forming part of the Plowden Estate. It was farmed along with Totterton and Home Farms and grew corn and reared livestock. In August 1986 Mr. & Mrs. Meddins and their daughter Caroline moved here from Totterton and set up the riding stables. In 2004 Caroline married J.P. and together they manage the equestrian business. Caroline & J.P. live onsite next door to Mr. & Mrs. Meddins, who take a keen interest in the horses and keep an eye on the place when J.P. and Caroline are away competing. |
